Submit ideas for community events here. I’ll work on coming up with a cool way to do this–right now, the calendar on this site is sort of wonkie–it doesn’t seem to have any functionality. For now, let’s just post them as comment threads and as I figure this software out I may discover a better way.

I’m going to begin visiting churches in many of our traditions, from High church to pentecostal to Messianic. I invite you to join me. Here is my tentative schedule, including the meetings I hope we will have for our community as well during this time:
April 15 – Faith Lutheran Church – 8 am

The next weekend is Memorial Day. We may choose some more traditions to visit after that date, but will leave it open for now. At any rate, I would like for us to use our three brunch meetings to set up a regular schedule for community fellowship and service, which I hope to begin in June.

You are cordially invited to the monthly ecumenical Taize healing service sponsored by Hope Episcopal Church.
The service will take place on Tuesday, April 17, at 7:30 p.m. in the sanctuary of Holy Cross Lutheran Church at 6901 Wyoming Blvd NE, south of San Antonio and north of Academy on the west side of the street.
Taize-style worship consists of sung prayer alternating with spoken readings, spoken prayer and silence.
The order of service follows:

Song – Christus Resurrexit (We light a candle as a symbol of Christ’s presence with us.)
